I’ve created a demo reel, but it doesn’t sound professional at all. I would really like to find some background instrumentals to place in there behind the voices. Does anyone know where a good place would be to download such types of music? Thanks so much

Hello all! I recently found a casting call and it requires a Demo Reel.. What am I supposed to do for a demo reel ? Should I show previous plays and such that I have been In ? Or should I preform a short monologue? Help Would be greatly appreciated!

A proper demo reel is of former professional work that you have done. If the recording quality of the plays you’ve done is high enough you can edit those together for a reel of no more than 2 and a half minutes. Essentially a demo reel is not unlike the movie trailers you see in the theater. Do not record yourself in front of a wall doing monologues.

How can I make a voice-over demo reel at home?

I need to make a voice-over demo reel so I can send it to some agencies and hopefully get a some voice-over jobs. But usually you have to pay lots and lots of dollars ( at least 0) to get it done professionally in a studio. So is there some sort of software I can purchase from Best Buy, or wherever that helps you make voice-over demo reels? with special effects and stuff? Thanks so much!
